Wow! I have an 18 Year Old!
My first born is 18 years old. It was her birthday on September 11th. It's amazing that it's been that long since she was a tiny newborn. Back then, well meaning (or not so well meaning) friends tried to scare me, telling me how awful teens can be. My kids are 18, 15 and 7 - so far there has been no truth in this. In fact it gets better and better. I love watching these kids as they approach adulthood. We have more fun then ever when we are together.
We spent Josi's birthday in the kitchen. Josi made her own birthday cake, the picture at the top of the post shows the cool rainbow colours inside.
I made pizza and bruchetta for her birthday dinner. I was also cooking some bone broth and preparing peaches for canning.
I think I had too many things going and felt a little frazzled when it was getting close to the time our guests were to arrive and I still had not started the pizza. But it all worked out in the end, of course! It always does. I need to remember that!
